This was cute at times, especially with the Valentines chapters at the end of the volume, but I didn't like how Hori and Miyamura policed each other's bodies, especially when it came to the piercings。 Things just aren't adding up at this point and Hori's character has essentially been reduced to a series of one-shot gags where she always gets angry for inane reasons for supposed comedic effect。 It still has its cute moments and I still appreciate the artwork and most of the characters, but thing This was cute at times, especially with the Valentines chapters at the end of the volume, but I didn't like how Hori and Miyamura policed each other's bodies, especially when it came to the piercings。 Things just aren't adding up at this point and Hori's character has essentially been reduced to a series of one-shot gags where she always gets angry for inane reasons for supposed comedic effect。 It still has its cute moments and I still appreciate the artwork and most of the characters, but things have fallen short a little for me at this point。 。。。more

While this had a few cute, snickery moments, the stand-alone chapters we've been "enjoying" for several volumes now have done little to nothing to advance the story and have grown tedious。 While I have truly loved the series, I'm glad it appears to be ending with the next volume。 While this had a few cute, snickery moments, the stand-alone chapters we've been "enjoying" for several volumes now have done little to nothing to advance the story and have grown tedious。 While I have truly loved the series, I'm glad it appears to be ending with the next volume。 。。。more

Menuju satu jilid terakhir!

'Horimiya' continues to be a fun romance and friendship comedy; I loved getting to see all of these characters again, and they also introduced two new teachers just in case the cast wasn't large enough already。 :) There wasn't as much of a specific theme in these chapters, but it does end with Valentines' chocolate, which is always a fun event! Omg this volume was so funny I nearly cried in certain parts! I love how much of the humor is centered around either misunderstandings or the crew being their wacky, random, and sometimes stupid selves。 While the scenarios are obviously exaggerated, I can't help but feel like real-life teenagers would behave this way and have such random-ass conversations。The artwork/ art style was amazing as usual and the crew were an absolute delight。 It's a shame that there's only one volume left, but this ha Omg this volume was so funny I nearly cried in certain parts! Listen if I ever give a Horimiya volume less than five hundred stars it's because something's wrong with me and since this is the penultimate volume I'm even more emotional because the end of the greatest manga series of all time is coming to an end and yes I will back that statement up with my whole chest。 As someone who is meh on Yuki and Tooru, I was surprised by how much I loved their limelight feature in this volume。 They are perhaps the most realistic high school "couple" of the whole seri Listen if I ever give a Horimiya volume less than five hundred stars it's because something's wrong with me and since this is the penultimate volume I'm even more emotional because the end of the greatest manga series of all time is coming to an end and yes I will back that statement up with my whole chest。 As someone who is meh on Yuki and Tooru, I was surprised by how much I loved their limelight feature in this volume。 They are perhaps the most realistic high school "couple" of the whole series。 Anyone who went to high school could tell there was those two people that their relationship status was a mystery, it was too complicated for even the Facebook status of it's complicated。 I adored the Valentine's Day chapters but I wish it could have been longer and compared to some of the other chapters in Horimiya it wasn't as romantic but still this volume was absolutely flawless from start to finish。 。。。more

Tooru and Yuki are… dating。。? No, they’re not。 It’s fine because this series has jettisoned all pretence of having an ongoing plot in favour of just randomly clowning its way to a conclusion next volume that I kind of wish had come a few books back。It’s unquestionably a shame how much the star of Horimiya has fallen since its amazing beginning volumes。 I know this because not only have I said those exact words for pretty much the last five volumes or so, but one of my most popular Goodreads revi Tooru and Yuki are… dating。。? No, they’re not。 It’s fine because this series has jettisoned all pretence of having an ongoing plot in favour of just randomly clowning its way to a conclusion next volume that I kind of wish had come a few books back。It’s unquestionably a shame how much the star of Horimiya has fallen since its amazing beginning volumes。 I know this because not only have I said those exact words for pretty much the last five volumes or so, but one of my most popular Goodreads reviews is a two paragraph micro-aggression for this very series where I make an inane restaurant analogy that people really seem to love。And this volume starts out fine, though the series has decided to bring in their “hilarious” thirsty for school girls teacher (at this time in its lifespan Horimiya is playing with fire by reminding me of the superior Daytime Shooting Star) to add some no-doubt-amusing-to-somebody antics。Antics just about describes this volume in a nutshell。 It’s not like the slice of life stuff isn’t ever fun。 Despite how utterly dragged out the whole Tooru/Yuki non-relationship is, they do some fun stuff at the start and Yuki has a great bit where she imagines various body swaps between the pairings。It’s just… not what Horimiya is best at。 Or was ever the best at。 Hori comes off as mean in this book as she does in the anime and that’s not a good look - rarely have I seen the series that went out of its way to harden its female lead as it went。 Some manga continue because they should, some continue because they can。 Obviously my opinion here is with the latter。The chapter wherein Miyamura’s original penchant for piercings from the very start of the series is brought up again feels like an author missing the point of their own work for a few cheap laughs。 Hori is miserable about Miyamura’s piercings in a way she never was at the start; it’s like all her redeeming qualities have been sucked out of her so she can be shrill for reaction shots。The Valentine’s Day section manages to be a proper bit of actual storytelling that shows up at the end and, outside of the Hori and Miyamura stuff (this one aims to be about something but instead goes for the most predictable arc it can take), is somewhat decent。 The younger girl with a crush on Hori makes a friend and there’s a lovely, nearly tragic, moment with Sakura and Yuki, which feels like an admission of defeat by the former as much as anything and is sadly over way too fast and, even worse, is the majority of Sakura’s time in this volume。 Can’t dwell on the characters when we can be cracking wise with a sprawling cast whose names I can barely remember。3 stars。 Residual goodwill taken into account, plus acknowledging that what we get is mostly okay。 However, I bet if Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-Kun went from being a gag manga to serious storylines every volume with an occasional joke I would have the exact same complaint - steering away from what it did well to what was never really its focus。 。。。more

I think I was mad that the story transformed from focusing on Hori and Miyamura to a full cast, also Hori's anger issues are never resolved, but I have to admit the valentine chapters were cute, but I hope they bring their A game in the final volume for Hori and Miyamura!!! Shsdsghdhshs— I LOVE how everyone is babying Yanagi。I always like how simple the storylines is。 Some people might find it boring, but for me, sometimes, I'm longing for something stagnant that is not easy to change and consistent like this。 This story still has a plot, but told in a light and easy tone 🌻Anyways,I'm not ready for the final volume 😫 Shsdsghdhshs— I LOVE how everyone is babying Yanagi。I always like how simple the storylines is。 Some people might find it boring, but for me, sometimes, I'm longing for something stagnant that is not easy to change and consistent like this。 This story still has a plot, but told in a light and easy tone 🌻Anyways,I'm not ready for the final volume 😫 。。。more

Overall a great manga to read。 Love that both of them have different personalities but still made a great couple。 The supporting characters also are fresh。

This volume started to pick things up and really turn it around because Valentine’s Day was too cute。 I really hope the last volume turns it around because this series started to go downhill for me。

I'm so sad。 I want Yuki and Tooru together。 As in together-together uggghhhhhhhon a side note, i love that valentines day chapter!edit, april 10。This was the very first manga I finished。 It was a nice experience。 I fell in love with all the characters。 Even though the story kind of lost it plot somewhere along the way (and Hori kind of became irritating) I still love this series and it will always have a special place in my heart。Also, I've finished watching the anime adaptation and I LOVED IT。 I'm so sad。 I want Yuki and Tooru together。 As in together-together uggghhhhhhhon a side note, i love that valentines day chapter!edit, april 10。This was the very first manga I finished。 It was a nice experience。 I fell in love with all the characters。 Even though the story kind of lost it plot somewhere along the way (and Hori kind of became irritating) I still love this series and it will always have a special place in my heart。Also, I've finished watching the anime adaptation and I LOVED IT。 It made me adore Miyamura more。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Ormai solo stralci di situazioni。 Questa volta un paio di storielle erano simpatiche, ma che a conti fatti non lasciavano granché。 Cioè, a chi importa se un prof perde le chiavi e scorda i nomi?
